'Discover Scrambling' gives us the opportunity to safely coach and lead you on your first steps into mountain scrambling or more rocky mountain ascents in Snowdonia/Eryri. The day is tailored to your experience and aspirations, combined with our extensive knowledge of potential routes, we guarantee to leave you more confident in tackling scrambling terrain. Snowdonia has plenty of possible locations to learn the craft of scrambling but the Snowdon/Yr Wyddfa, Glyderau, Moelwynion & Carneddau ranges in the North have the highest concentration of quality routes. We can be flexible and base the day from one of the villages such as Llanberis, Capel Curig, Bethesda or Beddgelert. On the day, depending on weather and ground conditions, we can make a decision on the most sensible option. We will be sticking to a maximum difficulty of grade 1 scrambling territory and we will not have to use climbing equipment or techniques. Some route possibilities include grade 1 ascents on Tryfan, Snowdon/Yr Wyddfa, Moel Siabod and Pen yr Ole Wen or scrambly walking routes from the Ogwen valley or the Moelwynion range.
